Objectives

The teaching of General Surgery consists of 2 main parts: the first covers issues of general order as the shock and the main problems semeiotic and clinical pathologies of surgical interest the second, more specific, proceed to the systematic surgical treatment of major diseases.
The course is organized in part according to the canons of formal teaching and in part, with the 'help of tutors, shall verify and ensure the principles learned to' practical teaching of clinical symptomatology.
Upon completion students will be able to solve clinical scenarios that will be considered in-course tests

Pancreas: Acute Pancreatitis

Gallbladder and bile ducts: gallstone disease and inflammatory
Small Intestine: cancer

Diverticulosis and diverticulitis
Cancers of the colon

IBD: Crohn's disease and UC
Aneurysms, acute lower limb ischemia
Definitions of the main endocrine disorders: pheochromocytoma, carcinoid, hyper-and hypoaldosteronism, hyper-and hypocortisolism, hyperpartiroysdism
