ENVIRONMENTAL HYGIENE
Verification of acquisition and knowledge of the issues discussed in the classroom and disciplinary scientific terminology through a written (tests in itinere) or oral assessment.
The aim of the Course is to provide up-to-date scientific knowledge regarding the risk factors and the current state of environmental matrices in relation to the phenomenon of anthropization, deepening the effects and consequences on the health of the population, in order to develop: a) Knowledge and understanding of the language and concepts useful for learning the scientific evidence, in relation to the relationship between environment and health; b) Ability to apply knowledge within the project; c) Autonomy of judgment, thanks to the ability to interpret environmental and social phenomena through the use of statistical and epidemiological indicators: d) Communication skills, thanks to participation in diversified working groups; e) Learning ability. At the end of the course, the student will be able to use the pivotal concepts of the discipline to deepen the related topics in the context of advanced specialist courses.

The slides and other materials used for lectures is made available to the students on the online EDADU platform.
The course includes only lectures with classroom attendance. At the beginning of the course the teacher explains the meaning and contents of the discipline and assesses the students' preliminary knowledge, asking generic questions on topics (and definitions) that are key of the course contents. Moreover, during the lessons, the students' knowledge is constantly monitored through questions and the administration of two tests in itinere.
