ANTHROPOLOGY OF THE TERRITORY
Written examination.
L39 - 9 cfu:
Three (3) open questions for sixty (60) minutes of total time.
LM14 - 6 cfu:
Two (2) open questions for forty (40) minutes of total time.
The evaluation will consider the following elements: knowledge of the syllabus, correctness of language, clarity of exposition.
The course of anthropology of territory aims to provide concepts and tools for understanding dynamics of use of space in relation to processes of social and cultural change.
The course of anthropology of territory intends to provide:
- main tools for anthropological study of territory;
- analytical models based on exemplary ethnographic cases;
- models of anthropological analysis of use of urban and rural space in relation to tourism, gentrification;
- anthropological analysis of urban and rural spaces in relation to tourism, heritage, and gentrification.
The course will take place in according with the following contents:
- principles of anthropology of territory and landscape according to others social sciences;
- transformations in urban and rural spaces and social and cultural change;
- growth of social inequality and processes of globalization, mobility, and gentrification;
- uses of space, leisure and tourism
- current processes of change between society and environment;
- Anthropocene from the anthropological point of view: present analysis and storytelling.
- festivalization and production of locality, tourism, social creativity, voluntary work.

During the lessons, Power Point presentations and audiovisual aids will be widely used; participation in the discussion will be appreciated.
The course will take place with face-to-face teaching (and blended learning); in case of health emergency, the course will take place according to synchronous distance teaching.
