Oral. The oral exam consists of questions of 3 kinds: - test of translation of a text taken from the course; - test on metrical, linguistical competence; - test on the literary and historical context.
Knowledge of the origins of the romance languages (Portuguese, Spanish, Catalan, Occitan, French, Sardinian, Italian, Rumanian) when they separate from Latin, and of the first texts composed.
Introduction to Romance Philology. Transition vulgar Latin - romance languages: linguistics, historical and cultural aspects. The oldest Romance texts. Translation and linguistic analysis of the texts.
