Students should know the principals of landscape geography. They are also required to have the basic knowledge for the interpretation of topographical maps.
Students will be tested through the final examination and during the lessons discussions. They also should be able to read and discuss a scientific paper taken from a scientific international journal.
The course wants to give the students the tools for a correct interpretation of the landscape landforms. They should be able to understand the natural dynamics of surface processes and their evolutional trends.
The geomorphological processes in the landscape weathering. Slopes evolution. Water erosion and rivers dynamics. Coastal geomorphology. Climatic variations during the Quaternary. Morphoclimatic earth systems. Notions of structural geomorphology. Introduction to the environmental geomorphology. Cultural geomorphology. The geomorphological maps.
