the intermediate tests will be carried out on demand by the students. There are two intermediate tests, as written, for Part I and part II of program, respectively. Test contains open questions and students are allowed two hours of working time to complete. The written tests aren’t mandatory. The evaluation will be completed with an interview. The intensity of the interview is depending of the results in midterm tests
The goal of the course production is to have students able to understand:
- the relevance of livestock systems;
- the main management principles implicated in different livestock systems;
- the different feeding behavior of grazing animals;
- the relationship between grazing animal management and pastures.
Finally, At the end of the course students will have developed a critical understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of each livestock system. This allows the student to understand the potential relationships between environmental, economic and social aspects interacting in the rural-forest context.
