EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES OF ETHOLOGY ORIENTATION IN THE VETERINARY EDUCATIONAL HOSPITAL (ODV)
The educational objectives of the ethology orientation activity in the veterinary educational hospital are achieved through practical guided activity on small and large animals admitted to the ODV.
They are given by the observation of the approach of the animal, of the human-animal communication and the recording of the set of natural, physiological and pathological behaviors, typical of an individual or of the community of an animal species, interpreting them for the purpose of defining a catalog of the different behavioral modules of a single individual or of the species, in relation to the pathology for which the animals are hospitalized.
When students deem it appropriate to carry out the orientation activity, they must contact the teacher (gcbomboi@uniss.it) to avoid an excessive number of hospital admissions and to document the period in the relative register.
RECEPTION HOURS. Students can contact the teacher from Monday to Friday through the Teams platform (unique code 3dy0chg), after a shared appointment by phone or email.
LEARNING VERIFICATION METHOD
When the student takes the exam of the ethology module in integrated course of Physiology 1 reports the knowledge acquired during the experience in ODV.
