Variations of the comic canon in the theater of Molière.
The course intends to study some great figures and some categories of characters of the Molierian theater, from the serious to the farcical: Dom Juan, Sganarelle, Monsieur de Pourceaugnac, Alceste, Argan and the the doctors.
Analysis of Molière's theatrical texts: Le Festin de Pierre [Dom Juan] (1665), L'Amour médecin (1665), Le Misanthrope (1666), Monsieur de Pourceaugnac (1669), Le Malade imaginaire (1673).
