The exam takes place in the computer lab, lasts for three hours and envisages the use of the computer. The exam is subdivided into a verification of the theory based on closed ended questions (up to a maximum of five points), and four exercises to be solved with the use of a statistical software (up to a maximum of 25 points). The closed ended questions cover all theoretical subjects treated during the entire course. The exercises focus on the application of the statistical techniques presented during the course to real cases.
"Distance exam modality - COVID-19 period: oral.
In order to maintain as much as possible the on-line form of the exam similar to its original version, the on-line exam foresees that the student shares its monitor with the teacher and then that she/he performs some simple computations using Excel. The on-line exam is essentially an oral exam, but it also allows for the verification of the competencies acquired by students in using a spreadsheet. The on-line exam will be performed by using Microsoft Teams. The Excel file on which the student will perform his/her computations will be shared by the teacher in the form of a Microsoft OneDrive link. This means that the students will work on a file which physically resides on the teacher’s computer. The exam will last 30 minutes."
