CHINESE LANGUAGE I - MOD. II
This 12-credit course is divided into two parts:
1. a linguistics module (30 hours of face-to-face lectures) – 6 credits;
2. a language module (75 hours of face-to-face language lessons) – 6 credits.
Linguistics: This module aims at providing a basic knowledge of the Chinese grammar , including the knowledge of the main grammatical classes, their grammatical functions and features. At the end of the module, the student will obtain the language skills of an elementary level and will be able to write and communicate in Chinese through the use of simple sentences.
In addition, this module offers some thematic studies to provide the student the basis for a better understanding of the key elements related to the language, geography and history of China.
Language lessons: This module will focus on listening, reading, writing and speaking simple Chinese in topics of common daily dialog. At the end of the module, the student will have acquired a lexicon of about 400-500 characters and gain basic listening, reading, writing and speaking skills.
Linguistics: the program includes the study of: 1. Nouns; 2. Numerals; 3. Classifiers; 4. Adjectives; 5. Pronouns; 6. Verbs. For each of those, the study will the program will focus on three aspects: classes, grammatical functions and grammatical features.
The thematic studies will focus on: language, in terms of the classification of the language, the Chinese language periodization and writing; geography, such as the physical aspects, current administrative organization at provincial level and key features of the economy, natural resources and population; main historical periods in Chinese history.
Language lessons: the program includes an annual teaching and includes units 1-9 of the book "汉语 1 + 1 – Il Cinese moderno a Sassari". The principal arguments are: (1) phonetic rules, writing rules, (2) basic elements of Chinese sentence and types of predicates; (4) some classifiers, adverbs, conjunctions, prepositions, locators; (5) expressions concerning "greetings", "presentation", "making friends" "what time is it?” “what day is it?”, “What are your favorite activities in your free time" ...
