Students will learn about the importance of forests to honey bees and beekeeping, the production of honey, and how bees help plants to reproduce.
In particular, the discipline would like to give appropriate knowledge on the morphology, physiology, biology and ecology of the honeybee, on the main hive pests and methods for their management including negative side effects on different hive products; theoretical and practical insights on melliferous sources, honeys and other hive products in forestry environment.
