At the end of the course, the student knows the basic concepts of General Pathology, which are necessary for developing specific skills. In addition, the student should be able to use the acquired knowledge to understand the pathogenesis of diseases and their treatment. In particular, the objective of the course is to describe the cellular, molecular, and functional mechanisms underlying the etiology of the disorders, the cellular adaptations, the mechanisms of damage, repair, and cell death, the inflammation process, the general concepts of immunopathology and immunobiology, oncology, and some pathophysiological changes.
