In order to achieve these objectives during the time of the course, only some among the most crucial fields of research in psychology of cognitive processes will be studied. The content of the course will develop above all issues related to visual perception, learning, memory, thought, intelligence, motivation, emotions and personality. Within this area of interest the most meaningful phenomena will be analysed in more details. Those phenomena will be described with a theoretical perspective, which includes phenomenological data coming from different fields, in particular the neuro-biological and computational one. With these phenomena it is possible to show how experimental psychology organizes reality, encodes and processes visual information through a chain of biological-computational processes.
