It is required the knowledge of fundamental Italian Public Law institutions.
The assessment method is an oral exam or multiple choice or open answer test.
This course aims to analyse in a comparative perspective the constitutional models of contemporary democracies. A special focus will be dedicated to the sources of law in a comparative perspective, to the forms of government, to national and supernational constitutional organization and to the evolutive trends of constitutional orders. The Usa constitutional order is subject to in-depth study since it is considered as a constitutional laboratory regarding human rights; federalism; judicial review of legislation and governance.
The course is focused on: forms of State and models of government; sources of law; forms of decentralized States; institutions of the European Union and their functioning; models of judicial review of legislation and fundamental rights protection in a national, supranational and international perspective.
