The main objective of the course is to present and discuss some basic and applied topics of heterogeneous catalysis, together with some recent results of reearch activity in the specific field. At the end of the course the student will have gained knownledge on some specific issues: the definition of heterogeneous catalysis and catalyst, chemical kinetics in catalysis processes, physi and chemisoprtion, heterogeneous catalysis in the modern industry, characterization techniques in Heterogeneous Catalysis.
