Students are exposed and required to digest the principles, theory, and methods used in consumer and producer theory, as well as the strategic interactions amongst economic agents, both under full and incomplete information. After taking this course, students are able to solve problems of decision making, game theory and information economics.
(1) Knowledge and ability to understand: the student will learn to distinguish the main classes of games or competitive interactions, classifying each concrete case in the correct category and applying to it the best solution strategy.
(2) Ability to apply knowledge and policy: the student will apply the methods of game theory to a variety of classical examples drawn from the economic sciences.
(3) Autonomy of judgment: the student will learn how to distinguish the main classes of games or competitive interactions, classifying each concrete case in the correct category and applying to it the best solution strategy;
(4) Communication skills: ability to communicate by using appropriate technical language and a scientific method.
(5) Learning skills: capacity for analysis, interpretation, critical analysis and communication.
