Assessment Methods

Verification of learning:

Written examination with open-ended questions up to 4 candidates (but students can opt for the written examination in every case); an oral examination until 4 students.
In any case two open questions. Max 1 hour of time.
Civil code and other materials cannot be used during the examination.
Usually 15 points for every answer.

FINAL EXAM ONLINE COVID-19 TIME (from March 2020 to September 2021; JANUARY - FEBRUARY 2022): the final exam consists of two open-ended questions; the student will have 60 minutes available for the test. DSA students or people with disabilities have 90 minutes.

Time for the exam: 1 hour.
Before the start of the exam the student must show his/her identity card (or passport) and also his/her student ID number.
It is strictly forbidden to consult the teaching material (slides, manual, other materials) and to connect to the Internet on sites other than those of the platforms used for the test. The use of the Italian civil code is allowed.
BEFORE THE EXAM THE PROFESSOR WILL
SEND THE TEAM CODE BY EMAIL.

AT THE END OF THE EXAM THE STUDENTS MUST TO SEND THE EXAM IN A WORD FILE TO mccossu@uniss.it. INTO THE FILE THEY MUST TO WRITE SURNAME, NAME AND STUDENT NUMBER.

The aim of the course is to provide basic knowledge of:
- the main financial and non-financial markets and the European financial markets architecture.
- Rules of the main institutional investors (investment enterprises, insurance companies, mutual funds, pension funds).
- main agreements on financial instruments;
- main rules of companies listed on the European stock exchanges and on Alternative Trading Systems;
-solicitation to public savings, IPO rules.
- SME markets; crowdfunding.

Contents

The aim of the course is to provide basic knowledge of:
- the main financial and non-financial markets and the European financial markets supervisory architecture.
- Rules of the main institutional investors (investment enterprises, insurance companies, mutual funds, pension funds).
- main agreements on financial instruments;
- main rules of companies listed on the European stock exchanges; Alternative Trading Systems;
-solicitation of public savings, public offering of financial instruments and financial products, IPO rules.
- SME markets; equity crowdfunding.
