Successfully completed: Microeconomics and Mathematics at the bachelor's level.
Successfully completed Advanced Microeconomics at the Master level is not a prerequisite but it is recommended.

Assessment Methods

Verification of learning:

The exam is written. The first and second parts foresees an exercise on the false line of those performed in class (maximum 7,5 points for each part). The third and fourth parts, requires a reasoned answer on a compulsory question (maximum 7,5 points).

Examen - distance learning COVID-19: The exam is written. It will be on the Microsoft Teams platform. The examen is an open book.

Objectives

The course analyzes concepts of Digital Economics
After taking this course, students are able to solve problems of decision making, game theory and information economics in Digital (Internet) Economics.
(1) Knowledge and ability to understand: the student will analyze concepts of Digital Economics through the methodology of Game Theory.
(2) Ability to apply knowledge and policy: the student will apply the methods of game theory to a variety of examples drawn from the economic sciences.
(3) Autonomy of judgment: the student will learn how to distinguish the main classes of games or competitive interactions, classifying each concrete case in the correct category and applying to it the best solution strategy;
(4) Communication skills: ability to communicate by using appropriate technical language and a scientific method.
(5) Learning skills: capacity for analysis, interpretation, critical analysis and communication.
