Verification of learning:

The learning is verified with the evaluation of presence of students at laboratory exercitations and the theoric acquisitions are verified with a oral final exam.

Objectives

The student acquires the basic knowledge of veterinary mycology useful for the morphobiology, diagnosis and control of the main animal mycoses, including those of zoonotic interest.

Contents

Notes on morphobiology and classification of the main mycetes of veterinary and zoonotic interest. Superficial mycoses, dermatophytosis, subcutaneous, systemic and opportunistic mycoses. General methods of diagnosis of mycoses. Notes on the therapy of mycosis: products for topical and systemic use.
