ELEMENTS OF ECONOMICS AND ECONOMIC POLICY
- Exam: Written test. The exam will consist of 10 multiple choice questions (Part A) and 2 questions each consisting of short answer questions (Part B). The exam will be based ONLY on the program as indicated during class. Students must only carry with them an identification card, a pen, pencil / rubber and calculation tools.
- By Dean' rules, the exam may be run online
The course gives an overview on the basic principles of economics - under a perspective of microeconomics- and provides the basic tools to understand the modern market economies. Specifically, one analyses the topics related to the price formation, consumption and production decisions, market characteristics and types, market failures, and the basic tools of the public agent intervention (i.e. taxation).

The course consists of theoretical lessons as well as specific labs (e.g. case studies; statistical analysis of empirical data; survey activities). The students are encouraged to present specific topics of their interest.
