ISPANIC-AMERICAN LITERATURES
Oral exam.
The exam will consist of an interview aimed at ascertaining the achievement of the learning objectives. Students will have to demonstrate that they know the outlines of the literary history of the periods indicated, that they know how to place the texts under analysis in the context of Spanish-American literature, and that they know how to critically analyse them
The course aims to guide students to the knowledge of the Spanish-American narrative from its origins to the present, with particular reference to the Twentieth century. It also aims to enable students to make a critical reflection on the topics covered in the course and dominate the analytical tools and concepts required for textual analysis.
The course is divided into two modules. In the first one it is intended to illustrate the most relevant genres and authors in the history of Spanish American narrative. The module will address the issues that characterize the literary and cultural landscape of the continent.
The second module is devoted to literary text analysis.
