This course is focused on the understanding and critical elaboration of methods and techniques used in the design of buildings for the wine industry. Classes will stress the concept of quality in architecture. Students will be exposed to the last international achievements and trends in the design of wineries.
Presentation and general introduction (2 hours). General part – technical architecture of the building process: building organism, building process and methods (16 hours). Special part – design: the building process applied to a winery design; sustainability and energy management in buildings (8 hours). Laboratory: CAD based design of a winery (14 hours). Technical visit to wineries (8 hours).
