Assessment Methods

Verification of learning:

Final public oral examination on the topics covered in the training program. It is given large opportunity for demonstration by the student and for evaluation by the teacher, of the degree of knowledge, for an evaluation that is as objective as possible.

Objectives

The course aims to provide students with the basic knowledge on the clinical approach to surgical patient in the veterinary field, with the aim of being able to make a diagnosis and to choose the most suitable surgery for the particular case. By carrying out some guided surgery techniques in various clinical cases, the student will acquire the skills to carry them out independently.

Contents

Diagnosis and treatment of diseases of surgical interest of organs and systems (Locomotor, Dermal, Digestive, Respiratory, Urinary, Nervous, Sense Organs).

Lecture of the topics of the program in the classroom and subsequent practical activity in surgery, in operating room and on the field.
