Public Health educational program is based on community health and epidemiology. The core curriculum is the knowledge and understanding of the tools of primary and secondary prevention. In particular, social, ethical and community health-related problems and diseases are studied, as well as the methodology and tools for Health Promotion in view of the principles of Health Economics, Health Organization and Quality in Dentistry
- To become able to prepare a biopsy and cytologic specimen for morphological investigations
- To understand a pathological report and its clinical relevances; To know the main pathological findings of soral pathology.
To pursue prevention and early diagnosis of tumours of the oral cavity.
At the end of the course the student knows the basic concepts of General Pathology necessary for the subsequent development of specific skills in the field of Dental Hygiene. The student is able to use the
acquired knowledge for understanding the pathogenesis and treatment of deaseases.
