Lectures concerning: a. Introduction and definitions of Italian Pharmacopoeia XII ed and the Medicamenta, b. Biopharmaceutics, c. Conventional solid dosage forms (powders, granules, capsules, and tablets) and controlled release formulations, with particular attention to Oral Modified Delivery Systems, d. Transdermal drug delivery systems, e. Pressurized pharmaceutical preparations, f. Pharmaceutical Polymers. g. Formulations of biologics and dosage.
Laboratory: each student will make the preparation, the quality control and packaging of galenic preparations (powders, capsules, tablets, hydroalcoholic solutions, syrups, isotonic solutions, emulsions and suspensions, suppository, topical semi-solid preparations (ointments, creams, pastes and gels).
