GERMAN LANGUAGE
The German exam consists of a language test of the abilities learnt and an oral exam, which is about topics discussed at lessons and which can only be taken after the written test has been passed; there will be optional intermediary tests.
Students will reach linguistic and communicative competence In German at A2++/B1 level and, as well as the basics of German linguistics, will know the basic tools, problems and strategies of communication for learning German as a second language.
The course aims to introduce the German language, with particular focus on:
• Morphological, syntactical, phonetic and lexical structures of standard German;
•Basic notions of semantics and lexicography and their application in contrastive analysis;
•Current lexicographical tools (different types of on and offline dictionaries, corpora and databases
etc.)
• Analysis of short authentic texts.
