As well as the basics of the discipline, we will encourage reflection on the use of the components, functions and varieties of language, stimulating the control of linguistic practice in its social context; students will be introduced to topics of historical and applied linguistics from phenomena of multiculturalism and multilingualism to sociolinguistic and ethno-linguistic topics, with examples from the Sardinian linguistic heritage. Some considerations, coherent with the objectives of the degree course, will be dedicated to the relationship between language and tourism activity
