The course provides the student with: 1) the concepts of disease, etiology and pathogenesis, 2) knowledge of the etiological factors and the molecular and biochemical mechanisms that underlie pathological processes, that govern the response to tissue damage and its repair; 3 ) the fundamental biological defenses put in place in response to pathogens, 4) the nature of the neoplastic disease and the biological basis of the transformation neoplastic;
