Ability to understand and interpret contemporary art works; knowledge of the developments in the art field during the last 100 years.
The history of Western art since the end of the XIXth century to the present day.

2) chapters relative to Impressionism, Cézanne, Neo-Impressionism, Gauguin and Simbolism, Van Gogh from any introductory-level textbook chosen by the student;
