The course aims to introduce the use of some tools to process accounting and not-accounting information so as to obtain a description of the business phenomena in a form more representative and effective in order to support decision making at the administrative-accounting level as well as at management and strategic levels.
1-Models and tools for accounting data acquisition After a framework about information systems, it examines the information management of the general ledger at different levels of automation. It proposes the use of the tool to manage data entry, processing them and to create the link between the accounting and the financial statment. 2-Models and tools for management and strategic control It analyses the information in relation to the decisions that must support. In particular, it examines the tools to process information at management level, proposing an economic-financial simulation model and at strategic level, examining some business intelligence tools
