To acquire knowledge of:
the principles and methods for the protection and promotion of health;
the basic principles of epidemiological methodology;
the tools of proper preventive approach to health problems / illness for the individual and the community;
the prevention tools and methodology of health education and communication.

• Epidemiological method and Epidemiology.
• General epidemiology of infectious diseases.
• Epidemiology of non-infectious diseases.
• Prophylaxis of infectious diseases.
• Vaccine prophylaxis. Vaccination schedule.
• Seroprophylaxis, Chemoprophylaxis
• Prevention of non-infectious diseases. Screening.
• Microcythemia, Favism, Echinococcosis-hydatidosis.
• Hospital infections.
• Environment and health.
• Water and health.
• Food hygiene and food safety.
• Health Education. Analysis of health needs. Communication between the pharmacist and the user.
