In the last decades, scientific community, governances and civil society have started debating about the issues related to environmental risks, such as climate and land use changes, wildfires, hydrogeological disturbances, natural disasters, or pollution. The demand of experts able to analyze and understand the complexity of environmental risk, to identify the best strategies for monitoring landscapes and to define management and mitigation strategies is gradually grown.
