1. Students attending the course will present and discuss a work on a pre-settled topic.
The course is aimed at training methodological tools to study the role of images in social construction of marginality and exclusion.
The course is organized as follows
1. The first part, which has a more general focus, deals the processes of marginality and exclusion.
2. The second part analyze some social research works, photo coverage and documentaries, and their relationship with marginality and exclusion . Specifically, will be analyzed the cases of urban slums and mental hospitals.
Study will focus on the following texts or parts of them, which will be indicated during classes.
